PRODUCTS

    Range of products made by S.C. Electroceramica SA completely covers requirements of low, medium and high voltage insulators for electrotechnical industry.
   Insulatars are according to IEC, DIN, BS, ANSI or Romanian Standards, there are also products made as per Client's documentation. Materials used for manufacturing of insulators are quartz or aluminium porcelain, termoresistent ceramics, steatite and zirconium ceramics. As processing technologies are used wet turning, pressing and moulding. All the products are tested by the methods prescribed in IEC 168, IEC 137, IEC 383 and IEC 233.
    The maximum height of the products is 4,000 mm., maximum diameter 1,000 mm (at hollow type insulators made of more parts, resin joined).
    Production of medium voltage apparatus at S.C. Electroceramica S.A. includes 24KV/400 A disconnecting switches, 24KV/10KA MO lightning arresters, 24 KV/2,5-4-6,3-10-16-25-31,5A fuses. Heating elements with rezistive wire are another sort of products made by S.C. Electroceramica S.A. These products are used in industrial applications such us: thermal treataments kilns , galvanics baths, installations for producing and processing of plastics bodies, alimentary industry, diverse kilns, another applications.
    Dry sprayed ceramic powders made by isostatic pressure and used for producing of household commodities are the newest products of the company. The increasing demand of these products on the Romanian market made S.C. Electroceramica S.A. modernize the existing manufacturing lines to carry out high quality materials.

      These products are made according to DIN , ANSI or Romanian standards, brown or white glazed.

3. POST INSULATORS FOR MEDIUM VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL APPARATUS
     - indoor post insulators
     - outdoor post insulators
       These products are intended to construction of the medium voltage apparatus or to supporting of the bars in electrical stations.
4.   HIGH VOLTAGE CYLINDRICAL POST INSULATORS

       Products belonging to to this class are used in construction of the electrical apparatus with voltages up to 420 KV, mechanical load 4 KN – 16 KN
5.  HOLLOW INSULATORS FOR ELECTRICAL APPARATUS 

       Insulators are used in construction of the measuring transformers , circuit breakers, lightning arresters and bushings, 525 KV maximum voltage.

7.   INSULATORS FOR ELECTRICAL RAILWAYS AND LOCOMOTIVES

            These types of insulators have the voltage of 27.5 KV and are used for supporting of the supply line or of the current paths on locomotives.

       Products are made according to DIN, ANSI norms or as per Client’s drawings. Rated voltage range : 1 KV – 52 KV; up to 4500 A.
10.   LOW VOLTAGE CERAMIC PARTS

    Pressing or hot moulding are used as technologies. Products are made of quartz porcelain, termoceramit, steatite or zirconium ceramics.
 

11. LOW AND MEDIUM VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL APPARATUS

       The following products are included here :
       -12 KV/ 400 A and 24 KV/ 400 A disconnecting switches under diverse constructive forms ( with/ without earthing switches for horizontal or vertical mounting ).
       -MO lightning arresters, 24 KV rated voltage, 10 KA, ceramic housing.
       -SiC low voltage lightning arresters.
       -24 KV fuses for 2.5 A – 4 A, 3 A – 10 A, 25 A – 31.5 A for protection of the power transformers.
       -Sockets for 12 KV and 24 KV fuses, indoor or outdoor type.
 
12.   HEATING ELEMENTS WITH RESISTIVE WIRE

       Generally, these products are carried out on a ceramic support and are used for industrial purposes. Their main applications are listed below :
       -thermal treatment kilns
       -galvanic baths
       -installations for producing and processing of plastic masses
       -installations in alimentary industry.
 

PRODUCTS TESTING

       Physico-chemical mechanical and electrical testing laboratory is one of the sectors to which a special attention is paid for maintaining the products quality to a high standard. Laboratory endowment allows carrying out of tests on electrical insulators, electrical apparatus and ceramics bodies according to EN, IEC, ANSI, BS, VDE norms.
    The main parameters which can be tested on insulators are listed below:
 - dry, wet power frequency withstand voltage up to 800 kV
 - lightning impuls withstand voltage up to 1.550 kV
 - dry, switching impulse withstand voltage
 - high frequency withstand voltage
 - radio interference level
 - thermal stability testing
 - temperature cycle test
 - tightness test of the hollow and bushing type insulators
 - inner pressure test of the hollow and bushing type insulators
 - bending mechanical strength test
 - torsion mechanical strength test
 - tensile mechanical strength test
 - compression mechanical strength test.
